Texas Forensic Investigative Consultants, Inc. (TFIC) is owned and operated by Stacey Deville, M.F.S.
Stacey Deville is an internationally recognized independent Forensic Science Consultant. Stacey works as a Crime Scene Expert and Licensed Private Investigator providing critical case review and evaluation of numerous cases ranging from misdemeanor crimes to capital murder. Stacey holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Forensic Science, and has worked as a Crime Scene Investigator for many years before starting her own consulting company in 2010. She has extensive investigative "in the field" experience as well as thousands of hours of outside training in the field of forensics.
Stacey has consulted and testified in hundreds of cases with the majority being capital murder cases. Stacey has experience working as a consulting and testifying expert, and travels the country reviewing cases doing critical incident analysis, physical evidence evaluation, crime scene reconstruction, police use of force/shooting investigations, and expert witness testimony.
Stacey is a licensed peace officer and currently works as a reserve peace officer/crime scene investigator in Texas. Stacey recently was nominated as a Woman in Power (2021 and 2022) by the Austin Business Journal. Stacey is a member of a number of forensic science professional organizations including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, National Defender Investigator Association, the International Association for Identification, the Texas Division of the International Association for Identification, International Homicide Investigators Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Association of Licensed Investigators where she previously served as Austin's Chapter Deputy Director, the Texas Police Association, and others.
Stacey has consulted on a series of books and has designed and taught a variety of forensic investigation courses to various attorneys, law enforcement officers, first responders, forensic science personnel, investigators, as well as spoken at numerous schools and conferences around the country.
